Dog Daze is a place to share inspiring and heartwarming stories about our love of dogs and how dogs change our lives in meaningful ways. Perhaps more than that, dog daze describes the actual mental state of being in the daily presence of these selfless souls who grace our lives.

Dogs have the ability to change who we are as people, bring us together, teach us compassion and empathy and improve our physical and mental state. Just the act of caring for a dog can teach us self-love and respect, give us purpose and a greater understanding of how we are all connected.

About Me
My name is Nora Coonan Gervais. I live in a coastal town in Southern California, am Mom to two amazing girls and married to Neal. I love travel, home design, exercise, sports, live music, and entertaining friends and family in our home that we share with our two loving labradors Ebbet and Smalls.
I grew up in Southern California with a very close family of eight, studied communications at UC Santa Barbara and enjoyed a successful career in advertising/publishing for over twenty years. I've been lucky enough to love eight amazing dogs in my life (to date)!

I believe you need to embrace what truly speaks to your soul and makes you special, which inspired and led me to this new venture of Dog Daze.

I’ve loved dogs my entire life and there is not one significant chapter I can recall when I was without the devoted love of one (or two or three) of them by my side. Dogs have been woven into my life story- childhood, career, marriage and children, and some of my greatest life lessons I have learned from their unwavering love and devotion, and yes their daily antics and occasional destruction!

Anyone who knows me knows that I’d do pretty much anything for my dogs (just ask my husband and daughters)! Join me weekly to be uplifted, inspired and entertained by stories, articles, photos and interviews on how dogs just make us better.
